GFMA submitted a response to the FSB’s consultation report on “Sound Practices for Responsible Adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI).”
The response is generally supportive of the proposed sound practices, particularly their recognition that firms can leverage and tailor existing processes and governance frameworks, as well as their outcomes based approach. The response also encourages continued coordination with other international standard-setting bodies to help avoid regulatory fragmentation and continued engagement between industry and the official sector to support the collective understanding of evolving AI technologies, their associated impacts, and overall system transparency.
GFMA welcomes the FSB’s leadership in this important area and its continued efforts to promote a globally consistent and coordinated approach to the responsible use of AI in financial services.
