About the conference

The Rome Investment Forum 2019 is an annual international conference which focuses on investments as a long-term driver of development and economic growth organised by the Italian Banking Insurance and Finance Federation (FeBAF) in cooperation with the Association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME). The 2019 edition will be held in Rome on 9th and 10th December 2019.

The conference provides a high-level forum for discussion between industry, regulators and policy makers at both European and global level. The conference attracts high level speakers including European Commissioners, ministers, industry leaders and academics as well as partners, such as the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers, OECD, EIF, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, Confindustria, The Bretton Woods Committee, and the Long-Term Investors Club, among others.

This sixth Rome Investment Forum will take place as the EU kicks off its new European legislative agenda and will discuss plans to boost economic and financial integration and a long-term vision of the European Union. The conference will address the European Reform Agenda, with special attention on growth and employment, long-term investment, Banking Union, Capital Markets Union, sustainable finance, infrastructure, SMEs and European investment plans.
